this year with CKV we had to do assignments that have to do with culture and art.
first we had to look up some festivals and musicals and write an essay about wich one we would like to go to and wich one we wouldn't. we had to give our oppinion on why we would or wouldn't want to visit it. I did that together with Annabel, it's at the beginning of my blog.
during the lessons we talked about culture and what it really is, the teacher asked questions and we had discussions about it.
after a couple of weeks we got an assignment to choose a subject and make a presentation about it, you also had to make an extra part to it where your classmates got more involved in the subject you where talking about.
Bas and I did the assignment together and our subject was films.
we talked about different genres and how movies are made and how some of the things work.
as extra assignment with our presentation we made a quiz and asked questions about movies and actors. the quiz was good fun and everyone tried to win, so they were involved.
we were happy with out presentation.
a couple of weeks later we got the assignment to make a storyline and make an animation out of it. the story had to have something to do with culture.
Rianne, Karen and I worked together and made up a story about a couple of children who ran away from home and got kidnapped by giants who wanted to eat them.
we had to cut al the children and giants out of paper and make houses and a forrest. the animation took a long time to make but it was nice when we finally finished it. every move the poppets made in the animation we had to move forward a bit and then take a picture of them everytime, so it would become a short movie.
when it was finished we put it on our blog.
when all that was done, the teacher told us to make this end report and then we would be finished with CKV.
I thought CKV was a nice subject because you had to do different things than just study things out of books, and you had to make things and look up stuff on the internet.
I'm glad I finished everything for CKV this year!
